on-goings

As a continuation from my last rather brief post, I am now blogging in bed
due to my incapability to move. Every joint/muscle/tendon/ligament in
my lower body is hurting like mad. And i will be helpless to do anything
productive for the next 2 days at least. Hence, I shall ramble on here.
Just because I believe i have raped the re-blog button enough on my tumblr.

Pain aside, am very happy and excited that Chistmas is fast approaching!
All decorations are up, even the playlists in stores have switched to

"have yourself a merry little christmas..."

sigh. i love Christmas (momentary rewind to my childhood 90's)

Sad part is.
Christmas in Aus means Christmas minus loved ones.

Just trying to push that out of my mind by telling myself that means
I have more time to get everybody far better gifts before i fly home.
A huge part of me wishes everyone would just fly here so I wouldn't
have to go back.

Christmas has come early for me this year though.
Purchased the PRETTIEST dress from Seduce at the Myer one-day sale
last week. Over $50 knocked off, so was a real steal for $120!
Gulps. Yes $120. I would like to clarify that I do not spend this hideous
amount of money on dresses unnecessarily. This one was purely an exception,
proven by the fact that I still stare at it as it hangs neatly in my wardobe.
And of course, priding myself on the fact that I am it's lucky owner :)
It's a piece from the 2011 Seduce Spring/Summer line. Can't wait to wear it!
Will be able to wear it both as posh dinner wear or a casual party..
it's such an in-betweener. makes it 10 times more worth it.

Went for half-priced pot mussels at the Belgian Bier Cafe at the Rocks with
friends last night. And also half-priced Creme de la Fresa and Raspberry Cream
summer milkshakes at San Churro's! I cannot possibly stress how happy i get
when i believe I've gotten my money's worth for something great.

Jono showed us the menu for next week's masquerade.
Sounds amazing. Along with unlimited cocktails and beers.
Right now all i'm in desperate need of is a mask (which I hope to get FOC if I plead
nicely from Myer - I saw them using glittery gorgeous masks as props in a city display window),
darker foundation, a black formal clutch and maybe, new heels...though I am
more in favour of velvet wedges these days. Twice the comfort, no danger of getting
stuck in drains and you still keep the height factor.

Have acquired a tan! From steady beach visits - instead of commercial, packed
Bondi we sought to check out the more private, scenic beaches up the north
coast and down east...Balmoral and Maroubra. Hoping for Shelly and
Clovelly in the coming weeks! Balmoral, as in my previous post, has
a lovely lunch spot at the Bather's Pavilion, iced mocha there is divine.

Architecture and interior design exhibitions at Usyd, UNSW and UTS
commence next week onwards, so am really looking forward to seeing
graduate/masters students' works...inspiration for 3rd year! And
the Picasso exhibition is in town for a good few months, will
be rounding up the troops.

My biomorphic transformations artwork was selected!
And is now sitting protected in a glass case in my
architecture building *big grin*

Am more than disappointed that I don't have the budget to be attending
Stereo this year, which has an AWESOME line-up. and Soundwave.

Met a few high school friends, with unexpected surprises.

And am excited to be trying out new high tea places in the suburbs soonishh!

okiedokie. Shall leave it at this. Tootles!

xoxo,
Kay.
